Video. As follows..

|
| Step 1. Adjusting The LCD Brightness
At boot up, by default, the LCD brightness of your Notebook is at its brightest (Level 8) if you've connected the Notebook to the AC power adapter. It becomes dimmer automatically if your laptop is running on battery power to conserve energy.
For Notebooks with an ambient light sensor, the ambient light sensor detects external, ambient illumination and automatically controls the LCD brightness accordingly. However, the ambient light sensor only works when the Notebook is operating on battery power.

During the LCD Monitor manufacturing process, it is not uncommon for one or more pixels to become fixed in an unchanging state. The visible result is a fixed pixel that appears as an extremely tiny dark or bright discolored dot. When the pixel remains permanently lit, it is known as a “bright dot.” When the pixel remains black, it is known as a “dark dot.”
In almost every case, these fixed pixels are hard to see and do not detract from display quality or usability. A display with 1 to 5 bright or dark dots is considered normal and within industry standards.

| Dell video cables have a specific connector with small clips(locks) on both ends. In case a screen doesn't have a place for clips to fit in, you simply need to remove the clips to plug the connector into the socket.
